NEW SINGLE
In 1993, Oliver Theile (keys, arrangements, vocals and lyrics) and Christian Coburger (keys, arrangements and sounddesign) began to develop their own idea of contemporary electronic music. Integrating Markus Aschenbrenner on guitars, marked the first big change in musical direction.
Some regional gigs and the demo-tape „Love Unfulfilled - The Lights and the Shadows“ led to their first contract with up-Scene Records (Martin Sprissler).
The debut album „A Love Unfulfilled" (produced by Axel Kretschmann/Silke Bischoff), released in 1999, gained very positive response in german media. Numerous live-bookings were the results, plus the band could establish ties in the Gothic/Electro-Scene.
The followed-up remix-album „Bridges“, which contains collaborations and new songs, was produced end of 2000 in such established studios as Bruno Kramm´s (Das Ich, Atrocity) Danse Macabre Studio and Chris Lietz´s (Die Krupps, De/Vision) Atom-H Studio.
Highly regarded shows at the most important festivals (Wave-Gotik-Treffen/Leipzig, Dark-Dance-Treffen/Lahr, Rock-la-Mures Festival/Romania, and many more) and shows as an opening act for artists like „Das Ich“, „Christian Death“ and others, underlined the new focus on access_denied. The years 2003 and 2004 were packed with touring, most of the time with their new friends from „Das Ich“, playing shows, amongst others, in Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria, Switzerland and France.
2004 marked a turning point in the bands musical identity. With Richard Raistrick, a new guitarist could be introduced, but more drastic was the signing up of Antonio Brunetti, a born-and-bred drummer.
The new album „NonstopDieselErotica“ presented access_denied in a more Indierock/Alternative context.
Because of even more movement in the cast of bandmembers in the following years, the next release, „Things Worst Fighting For“, could only be presented in 2011. This so-called EP contains new songs as well as remixes (amongst others, Sonic Replication, Markus Aschenbrenner und Stereomotion).
After an energy-sapping moving to a new studio, the rehearsal space is in better shape than ever. Unfortunately this maneuver took the band a lot of time.
After a new sound-update in their latest configuration:
Oliver Theile - Vox
Christian Coburger - Keys
Jan Bramburek – Bass
Markus Faulhaber - Drums
Niko Hetzel - Guitars
freshness and creativity have returned. Existing material is going to be rehearsed, new songs will be written and shows will be organised. There is a storm coming up.
